Wednesday 18th February 2009

Morning,

Well my hubby has now gone on deployment for 6 months, so here goes...

A long walk today with Sue.... 12 1/2 miles in 2 hours 40 Min's. A really good walk the weather was good and I took my bum bag so I had water and my faithful jelly beans for a sugar kick. I did have a hot spot on the bottom of my heal towards the end, but I think that is my socks and trainers if honest. I ache a little but not to uncomfortable.

We talked about our costumes today, I think we have come up with a theme.

Must dash, the girls are coming here for tea tonight they all know I am in training, but am going to pre warn them I need sponsors....

Anyway till next time

Saturday 7th February 2009

Good Evening,

Well My plan was too have another lazy day, reading my book.....and the moonwalk pack still hasn't arrived :-(

But when I had my son's friends turn up on the doorstep to play PlayStation I had second thoughts....

So I pulled on my training gear and went for a 5 miler, they did me a favour actually and I feel much better for it. I was a tiny bit slower walking on my own but not much so did it in about 1 hour 15 and a bit. I didn't take my ipod, but will next time.

The weather here is clear now but very cold, and there is still some black ice around.

So I'm off to read my book now.

Monday 2nd February 2009

Hello,

Well it's been snowing here in the south and it is freeezing....

I have been having serious doubts recently about the walk, Have I bitten off more than I can chew..... My training seems to be none existent ( which is annoying me ) I don't seem to be able to fit everything into my life.....

MOAN MOAN MOAN...... I need to get a grip.

I had a unexpected visit from my husband this weekend, which was nice. I have one more visit before he goes on his 6 month deployment so after the 14Th February, I need to get my derriere into gear....

I did a 5 mile walk today with Sue, in the snow we planned to do 10 miles but it was far to cold. The snow kept hitting me in my eye or going up my nose. I was warm enough though, I had plenty of layers on. We managed it in 1hour 15mins so not bad considering.

Well until next time and hopefully I will be a bit more positive.

P.s I have registered my place in the Race for Life Portsmouth 19/07/09 and I have got my pack through already.

I can't wait for my Moonwalk pack to come, that should cheer me up.
