Another gorgeous day here in the south....
I have new trainers.... a pair of Brooks...
Me and my training partner walked 5 miles today... in 1 hour 10 Min's.... so good timing.
It was beautiful along the sea front and a nice cool breeze.....Trainers felt good and no niggles.
I've just purchased my U2 Tickets for August 14Th 2009.... soooooooo excited.....

Sunday 15th March 2009
Well What a lovely morning, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. ( The picture is taken from outside the conservatory at my home )
A 13 mile walk today with my training partner (Sue) in 3 hours 20 Min's, a bit longer than we thought time wise but it was a lot warmer and we had to stop for an ice lolly on the way as we were quite dehydrated. But still all good. We walked on a back road which was quite scary at one point as a car nearly took us out.
I've ordered my new socks today from the Internet ( 1000 mile socks ) I've never had them before but many people talk about them so I'll see how I get on with them.
It's 2 months tommorrow and time seems to be creeping up on us.
Well goodnight.

Good Evening,
Well I have finished my course what I've been on through work today and passed and I am now a tutor so the pressure is off, however need to raise my game on the training front.
I ordered a new pink camera today so I can start practising for the night, I want to take lot's of photo's this time of my experience and it's pink.... ( Bonus ) ..
Well after work I went on a 5 mile walk with Sue my training partner...all along the sea front, round in a loop and back.Timing was good coming in at 1 hour 10 mins....I even took my jacket off and walked in a t-shirt so tempretures are on the up.... my hands were quite puffy though....
I had a call from my husband which was lovely and I've had a bath. so I'm now going to sit and have a nice healthy tea. Back on shift tommorrow, and I'm planning to walk as much as possible over the next few weeks.
I'm also excited as U2 have released the tour dates so can't wait to find out when they go on sale.....
Right that's it for me tonight.
I'm going to go and study my training schedule....

Sunday 8th March 2009
I have done a couple of walks recently and not updated my blog...... only short ones though ( 3 milers )
But today we did a long walk, the weather didn't look to promising as it was raining earlier and it was very windy.
Anyway we think we walked about 8 1/2 miles. I do feel good.
I'm still finding it hard to fit everything in work, life and training...... and feel guilty that I am not training as hard as I did when I did the half moon walk 3 years ago.. But I did have a cold last week and that set me back a bit. ( Those excuses again )
Sponsorship is coming on, I've posted forms to everyone.
Well till next time.

Morning,
Well my hubby has now gone on deployment for 6 months, so here goes...
A long walk today with Sue.... 12 1/2 miles in 2 hours 40 Min's. A really good walk the weather was good and I took my bum bag so I had water and my faithful jelly beans for a sugar kick. I did have a hot spot on the bottom of my heal towards the end, but I think that is my socks and trainers if honest. I ache a little but not to uncomfortable.
We talked about our costumes today, I think we have come up with a theme.
Must dash, the girls are coming here for tea tonight they all know I am in training, but am going to pre warn them I need sponsors....
Anyway till next time

Good Evening,
Well My plan was too have another lazy day, reading my book.....and the moonwalk pack still hasn't arrived :-(
But when I had my son's friends turn up on the doorstep to play PlayStation I had second thoughts....
So I pulled on my training gear and went for a 5 miler, they did me a favour actually and I feel much better for it. I was a tiny bit slower walking on my own but not much so did it in about 1 hour 15 and a bit. I didn't take my ipod, but will next time.
The weather here is clear now but very cold, and there is still some black ice around.
So I'm off to read my book now.

Monday 2nd February 2009

Hello,
Well it's been snowing here in the south and it is freeezing....
I have been having serious doubts recently about the walk, Have I bitten off more than I can chew..... My training seems to be none existent ( which is annoying me ) I don't seem to be able to fit everything into my life.....
MOAN MOAN MOAN...... I need to get a grip.
I had a unexpected visit from my husband this weekend, which was nice. I have one more visit before he goes on his 6 month deployment so after the 14Th February, I need to get my derriere into gear....
I did a 5 mile walk today with Sue, in the snow we planned to do 10 miles but it was far to cold. The snow kept hitting me in my eye or going up my nose. I was warm enough though, I had plenty of layers on. We managed it in 1hour 15mins so not bad considering.
Well until next time and hopefully I will be a bit more positive.
P.s I have registered my place in the Race for Life Portsmouth 19/07/09 and I have got my pack through already.
I can't wait for my Moonwalk pack to come, that should cheer me up.
