Morning,
Well my hubby has now gone on deployment for 6 months, so here goes...
A long walk today with Sue.... 12 1/2 miles in 2 hours 40 Min's. A really good walk the weather was good and I took my bum bag so I had water and my faithful jelly beans for a sugar kick. I did have a hot spot on the bottom of my heal towards the end, but I think that is my socks and trainers if honest. I ache a little but not to uncomfortable.
We talked about our costumes today, I think we have come up with a theme.
Must dash, the girls are coming here for tea tonight they all know I am in training, but am going to pre warn them I need sponsors....
Anyway till next time

Good Evening,
Well My plan was too have another lazy day, reading my book.....and the moonwalk pack still hasn't arrived :-(
But when I had my son's friends turn up on the doorstep to play PlayStation I had second thoughts....
So I pulled on my training gear and went for a 5 miler, they did me a favour actually and I feel much better for it. I was a tiny bit slower walking on my own but not much so did it in about 1 hour 15 and a bit. I didn't take my ipod, but will next time.
The weather here is clear now but very cold, and there is still some black ice around.
So I'm off to read my book now.

Hello,
Well it's been snowing here in the south and it is freeezing....
I have been having serious doubts recently about the walk, Have I bitten off more than I can chew..... My training seems to be none existent ( which is annoying me ) I don't seem to be able to fit everything into my life.....
MOAN MOAN MOAN...... I need to get a grip.
I had a unexpected visit from my husband this weekend, which was nice. I have one more visit before he goes on his 6 month deployment so after the 14Th February, I need to get my derriere into gear....
I did a 5 mile walk today with Sue, in the snow we planned to do 10 miles but it was far to cold. The snow kept hitting me in my eye or going up my nose. I was warm enough though, I had plenty of layers on. We managed it in 1hour 15mins so not bad considering.
Well until next time and hopefully I will be a bit more positive.
P.s I have registered my place in the Race for Life Portsmouth 19/07/09 and I have got my pack through already.
I can't wait for my Moonwalk pack to come, that should cheer me up.

Good Evening,
Well I managed a 10 mile walk today..... the weather did initially put me off this morning.. but after a phone call from Sue we went out regardless, and I took my husbands Musto with me just in case of the heavy rain....
Within minutes the Musto had to come off and went round my waist ( it was a pain and I spent most of my time pulling it up ) timing was good and completed in 2 hours 10 minutes..
I've spent the rest of the day watching chick flicks.... My husband has just rung, I've not seen him since the 4Th January. His ship was involved in a freak accident this afternoon and 2 men were washed overboard..... I think he could do with a cuddle, I know I could do with one....
I've still not managed to go and buy my new trainers.....
Anyway till next time.

Managed to do a 5 mile this morning in 1 hour 12 Min's.... 1 minute slower than the last 5 miler....
It was a lot warmer today, no gloves or scarf needed and even managed to wear my three quarters training pants...
I need to go and buy some new trainers though.. (a job for the weekend) and I will put socks and chewing gum on my list.
I registered my interest on the race for life today as well....Must be crazy..but hopefully going to be doing it with work colleagues...
Anyway off to bed now

Friday 9th February 2009
Hello,
Well I was up bright and breezy this morning, and OMG it was FReeeeeezing.....
Me and Sue was out walking by about 09.10 am and we both had extra layers on , I had leg warmers under my tracksuit bottoms and 2 long sleeved tops as well as a scarf, gloves and a hat..
We kept a good pace and did 71/2 miles in 1 hour 38 minutes...
We did have a little stop only for a few minutes though , as we came across a frozen pond. The ice was really thick.
When I got in my legs were bright red and it took me a few minutes to get the circulation going.
After a shower, we were off to grab some well earned lunch at Nando's ( Yummy ) and a bit of a look around the shops.
It's now 18.20 and I am aching a little ( the tops of my legs ) but after a hot bath, I will be good.
Anyway till next time.

7th January 2009 Happy New Year...
Happy New Year.....
Well, I haven't done much training since November...things have been pretty hectic....
A friends daughter died at the beginning of December and my daughter came out of Prison..... so things have been thrown into turmoil.
We managed to have a nice Christmas, we did something completely different and went out on the boat on Christmas day and the boys wake boarded and New Years eve we had a Abba / 70's night and managed not to wake up with a hangover... Yippeeeee....
My husband went back to his ship on Sunday (4Th January), I might get to see him in February and then not again till August when he returns from his deployment from the far east.
So today was my first rest day and I was determined to get back on the wagon.
It was freezing.... BBBBBRRrrrrrrrr....... temperatures are very low below zero... so plenty of layers and hats and gloves today.
I walked with my friend Sue who has now got her place confirmed. We did a 5 mile walk in 1 hour 11 minutes, so we were quite pleased..
We are planning a slightly longer walk on Friday and then going to go for lunch as a treat.
My plan is to walk when possible now and get my training plan out again...
So until then.
