Friday 31st October.....
Happy Halloween.....
I have been up since 06.00, and already I have made a chilli, homemade soup and decorated the house for Halloween, got rid of all the old leaves in the front garden. Walked the dog and Managed a 3 mile walk.....
Goodness..... it's 08.45 now..... I do have more energy since the start of training ......or is it because I'm still on a high....
Gorgeous morning.... blue sky and sunny but very cold...
No time to waffle this morning.... busy busy busy....
Next on my list is clean the house from top to bottom before going and doing a late shift on one of the busiest nights of the year.... Halloween operation.....

Thursday 30th October...
Good Evening,
Well it's 23.00 hours and I'm just in from work, what a manic day.....
I was up at 07.00 this morning and was out walking by 07.30 with Rebbecca my friend who is signed up for the half moon. We did 4 miles up the promenade and the wind was cutting right through me. The sky was dark and cloudy and the sea was the same colour. ( YUK )....However Lot's of walkers and joggers about.

I came straight in and walked the dog, onto eyebrow wax and then mini shop. My husbands ship is in over the weekend so he's coming home for the weekend, I also have family coming from up north.....and I need to try and catch the new BOND movie.....
Then I had my shift at work which was a 13.00 - 22.00 and it has been non stop... which included a good bit of walking and a lot of patience....
So I am definitely ready for my bed tonight...
Need to squeeze a walk in tomorrow morning if possible..... before housework, pumkin carving and work....
Speak soon

Tuesday 28th October 2008
Morning..
I am on a late shift today, and have a meeting all day so not pounding the street on the beat ( Boring ).
I was up nice and early this morning, so organised.I had time for breakfast and a drink before pulling on my training gear. Looking at my trainers I think I am ready for a new pair, I can't get to the shop this week. I go to a shop in Portsmouth ( Alexander sports ) it's a shop where they measure and check your feet and have to try hundreds of pairs on and jog down the street in them. An allocated day I think.....
It is a lovely Autumn morning here, the sky is blue and you can see your breath in the air. The sea is quite calm, but it's cold not a day for a paddle.
3 Miles this morning along the promenade and it was lovely, I love walking on days like today. my cheeks and nose are freezing. But worth it.
Changes are going to have to be made to my training schedule, my shifts are changing for a few months. I'm going on to a 6 on and 4 off pattern. It's not all bad though it means I should be able to fit the gym in occasionally, something that I have not done for a while.
I'm going to investigate how to put my current training schedule on here, ( I'm not that good with IT )

Sunday 26th October 2008....
Good Evening,
Well the clocks went back this morning.... and what a miserable morning it was,it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale. A day to batten down the hatches.
I have a busy week in front of me at work ( I am on my 5 day week a mixture of days and lates ) it's also the run up to Halloween and Firework displays, so probably lot's of calls to youths causing ASB. So I thought I would chill most of the day, Lewis my 14 year old picked a film so we sat and had lunch on our laps...
The rain eased up at teatime so time to walk the dog, it was nice and fresh on the seafront so when I got back i pulled on my training gear and went for a quick 2 mile march along the promenade to blow the cobwebs away. It was just becoming dark and the Isle of Wight which is opposite lee on the solent was lit up with the street lights.
It made me realise that this is how I am going to be training when on a day shift, so need to get my High Viz out.. better to be safe..
Till next time

Saturday 25th October..2008....
Morning ,
It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Lee on the solent in Hampshire. I wasn't very organised this morning, my plan was to get up and have porridge before going on my first 5 mile walk.....
I slept in .... as I tossed and turned last night ( Again ) and eventually fell asleep early hours of this morning... I watched a program that I had recorded on channel 4 the previous evening ( cutting edge, Mum heroin and me ) mmmmmm... well it was like watching myself as my daughter has the same problem..... anyway....
I got myself out of bed at 08.30 hours and pulled on my training gear, had time for a quick drink of water and my friend Rebbecca arrived.
We walked round the the old airbase. So a good circuit. I got into the stride of things quite well and the only problem I had was my fingers were slightly swollen and the end of the walk. It's amazing what you talk about though when you are walking.... Shopping, food ( Cooked Breakfast ) and mainly our outfits on the night in May 2009.
Well that's me for today, I typed this while having my well deserved bacon sandwich and coffee.
Rest day for me tomorrow.... but if it's as nice as today I may sneak a little walk in.
Sarah x
P.s I got some fab new training gear yesterday ...... Pink addidas hoody and Pink t-shirt to match.... Thought I would get the theme going sooner rather than later.... ;-)

Friday 24th October 2008....
Morning everyone....
Well I didn't sleep a wink last night..... I think it's the blog that's worrying me most... LOL.. I'm sure I'll cope...
I'm rest days over the next few days.. so plan to go and buy some new training gear....catch up on my housework and spend quality time with Lewis ( 14 year old. ). It's 0800 am and I've already walked the dog on the beach and it's wet and windy out there.. I hope the weather changes tomorrow as I have a 5 miler planned....
I forgot to say in my last blog, that my friend ( Rebbecca ) managed to get a place in the half moon, so we plan on training together for the first few months....
I got my Bra out from my 2006 walk last night, it brought back so many memories. I plan to take photo's and put them on here....
Until tommorrow

Thursday 23rd October 2008.
Well this is the first blog I have ever wrote..... so I will begin ......
Are you ready for the ups and downs.... as I am sure it will be a rollercoaster.... My life is pretty hectic... my husband is at sea ( Royal Navy ) I work full time ( Police Community Support Officer ) I have a 14 year old son and a 19 year old daughter ( who sadly spends most of her time in Prison ).
I will also tell you that my Mum died of breast cancer 14 years ago, I was 22 years old. So it was that what inspired me to contribute towards the breast cancer charity.
I took part in the moonwalk in 2006 and managed to complete the half moon and enjoyed the whole experience.
The year after 2007 I did the race for life and ran the whole of the course ( a huge achievment for myself )
So after taking this year off, I felt that I would like to rise to the challenge of the full moon walk.....so on the morning of the 16th October 2008, I waited patiently till 0900 hours and then submitted my application.
Sunday 19th October my application was confirmed. I had my place in the Playtex Moonwalk 2009. I can't explain the elation I felt, I cried and screamed with joy.
I spent most of the day on the Sunday preparing my training schedule for the coming months. But couldn't resist a brisk 3 mile walk.
These are the miles I have done so far this week....
Sunday 19/10/08 3 miles
Tuesday 21/10/08 3miles
Wednesday 22/10/08 2 miles
Thursday 23/10/08 3 miles
So that's my first week in......yikes.....here goes....
